In the works

The desk is a mess and there's much going on here in the stables of Pegacorn Press. Whoa nelly! Hella projects being flushed out, but here's a little preview of what to expect in the next few months...

Zine Libs #1 & 2, Burn Collector

Yes, that's right- the sixteenth issue of Al Burian's, Burn Collector, is being put out on Pegacorn Press. Just in time for Al's east coast reading tour in April, #16 will be available on April Fools, no joke. It's an amazing issue and it's been a pleasure to work with him on this US version. There's no pre-ordering, but it once it's out, it will be available directly from him, the GET SOME page on this blog, my Etsy store, mailorder, and several distributors in the US. If you are a store or distributor that is interested in doing bulk orders, please get in touch and let's talk details.

Also, after several years in dormancy, I'm excited to announce that both issues of Zine Libs, a collaboration that I did with Erick Lyle many years ago, will be released together in one mega-blow-out of punk inspired mad libs. Think of how ridiculous your normal life is (or was)- living in collective houses, hopping trains, being chased by cops in protests- and then times that by a million as you sit with your friends laughing your ass off, filling in these Zine Libs. I've been working on re-formatting all our originals and hopefully this will be out and into the world by early March. "Fill in the blank fun with friends," will be back in action.

If you find yourself in Gainesville, Florida on February 4th, stop by the new Sequential Artists Workshop. I'll have some art up, be around for technical printing questions and comic geekery. Here's a  flier that Tom Hart threw together for the event:

If you're New York based, you'll be able to find Pegacorn Press tabling the NYC Feminist Zinefest on February 25th, as well as the Brooklyn Zine Fest on April 15th. Stop by if you're in the area and let's hangout. Both promise to be great events...

I think that's it? At least for now...

I'm excited to announce that there's a new release out on Pegacorn Press, just in time for the Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival here in Brooklyn. Late Era Clash #24, by longtime friend Mike Taylor, is done and looking awesooommmme! Come by and see us this Saturday, and if not, it will be available via my store after this busy weekend...

Get copies while you can! Both the 2012 calendar and FUTURE TENSE are available through my Etsy store. At 48 pages of content, featuring eleven artists from the U.S. and Germany, FUTURE TENSE is going quickly. Maybe because these amazing artists are in it?

Minneapolis + Chicago!

"October," from the 2012 Paquita Calendar-  coming out soon.

My tiny midwestern jaunt for Pegacorn Press begins next week in Minneapolis, Minnesota at Modern Times. Please join me on Friday, September 23rd (the Autumnal Equinox!!!) for a celebratory gathering. I'll have art up for the rest of the month there and during the event, the 2012 calendar, a new comic compilation and zines will be for sale...

A couple days later, you can find Pegacorn Press at Quimby's Bookstore on Monday, September 26th, with Jo Dery and Edie Fake. These fine folks have contributed to the comic compilation and will be showing their own art and animations as well.

Hooray!
See you soon-
XOXOXO,
Caroline
